SHEBOYGAN – Stephen Colbert’s name-drops of Sheboygan earlier this month did not go unnoticed by the city. In fact, the mayor’s office is sending him a care package. Colbert named Sheboygan twice in jokes on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” June 17 and June 19, both in relation to former President Donald Trump. The first was in context of Trump’s contested comment that Milwaukee is a “horrible city” and the second was about his rally in Racine.

The Freedom Run launches festivities at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, and vehicular traffic and parking will be prohibited along the route on Broughton Drive from Wisconsin Avenue northward to Barrett Street beginning at 7 a.m.

Representatives of Fond du Lac County, in partnership with the Ripon Noon and Early Bird Kiwanis Club are excited to announce the grand opening of the All-Inclusive. Playground at Riggs County Park on Douglas Street. On Saturday, July 13 th , at 11am, the County and the Kiwanis Clubs will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new playground at Riggs Park, which features play equipment suitable for children of all abilities, with a poured, rubber safety surface. The playground is a new addition to Riggs Park, sitting adjacent to the Splash Pad; which was also a project of the Ripon Noon Kiwanis.
