LEITCHFIELD, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — An Elkton woman was killed after her car hydroplaned into the path of a semi-truck on Tuesday.

The area was closed by law enforcement “for several hours” while the investigation took place, and a detour was opened in the area of the 124-mile marker, authorities said.

KSP said the initial investigation revealed that Kelsey Dunn, 28, was driving a 2011 Toyota Camry in heavy rainfall when she lost control of her car and crossed the median into the path of a semi-truck.
