Jamestown Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrants, Drug and Weapon Charges
A Jamestown man who had outstanding warrants was taken into custody after a street check in the city Monday afternoon. Jamestown Police located 33-year-old Michael Green at an address on West 6th Street shortly before 12:15 PM and were aware of his warrants through the department. Green was taken into custody without incident, and further investigation found that he was allegedly found to be in possession of a small quantity of methamphetamine, a Levorphanol Tartrate pill and an expandable baton, which is illegal to possess in New York State. Green was transported to the Jamestown City Jail without incident and was held pending arraignment on his outstanding warrants, as well as two counts of 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of 3rd-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Cannabis Dispensary License Approved For Jamestown Business
The license for a cannabis dispensary in Jamestown has received approval by the state Cannabis Control Board. Patient’s Pharmacy Inc. has been approved for a Conditional Adult Use Retail Dispensary (CAURD) license and was one of 109 adult-use cannabis licenses approved that span the supply chain, encompassing microbusinesses, cultivators, processors, distributors, and retail dispensaries.

Falconer Man Sentenced in Arson Fire in Kennedy
A Falconer man has been sentenced for setting a fire that destroyed two houses in Kennedy. Chautauqua County District Attorney Jason Schmidt announced that 30-year old Aubrey Baize was sentenced Monday in Chautauqua County Court to a state prison sentence of four to 12 years after being convicted of Third Degree Arson.

Travelers along Interstate 86 were in for a surprise over the weekend as a group of bison joined them along the highway. Sightings were reported in the Sherman area of the highway, and owner Charlie Sorce said the original group of five were spooked by something and broke the fence down. Two have been corralled and brought home, but three remain loose around the I-86 area as of Monday morning.

Gucci Is CCHS Pet Of Week
The Chautauqua County Humane Society’s Pet of the Week is Gucci, a friendly 1-year-old who would love to meet her new family. She lives in the Purradise cat colony at the Chautauqua County Humane Society. All animals that are adopted from CCHS have been spayed or neutered, are up to date for vaccinations, and have a microchip. The Chautauqua County Humane Society is located at 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, open from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
