Student Health to reduce out-of-pocket expenses for students, offer new services
Wichita State University students will now pay a reduced rate for general medicine provider office visits at Student Health Services (SHS). While office visits, on paper, will appear to increase in price from $30 or $35 to $50, SHS Director Heather Stafford said “no WSU student will pay more than $25 for an office visit.”

Newton mill and overlay projects to start July 10
NEWTON, Kan. — The City of Newton's annual mill and overlay will begin this week with Medical Center Drive. The contractor, Pearson Construction, will begin milling off asphalt on Wednesday, July 10. City crews will do base pavement patching the following day, and then Pearson will begin the asphalt overlay. Pearson plans to work one lane at a time. They will use a flagging crew to stop traffic and flag drivers around the construction as needed.
