A recent survey has discovered that residents of Louisiana actually do have a favorite swear word and because the word we love to not say in front of our mothers is so versatile we've managed to use it as a noun, a verb, an adjective, and I am pretty sure a few other parts of speech. Detached Flatbed Trailer Kills Bossier Parish Man on Lawnmower
On July 4, 2024, at approximately 10:30 a.m., Louisiana State Police Troop G was notified of a vehicle crash involving a truck and a man operating a lawnmower at his residence. The crash occurred on Louisiana Highway 3 north of Kingston Road and ultimately claimed the life of 66-year-old Donald Ward.

Skate with Shreveport at Saturday’s Skate Bash
This Saturday brings the Shreveport Skate Bash to Caddo Common Park in downtown Shreveport, put on by Nionea Anderson with the Shreveport Regional Arts Council (SRAC). Starting at 6 pm on Saturday, July 20th, the community is invited to bust out their roller skates or skateboards to enjoy the local skate scene together. If skating isn't your forte you're still happily invited to attend with music, face painting, and food trucks on site. Things will look slightly different for Shreveport native and Northwestern State alumnus Trevor Bailey since he last entered Turpin Stadium in 2011. New stadium lights, new field turf, new band uniforms, and a new title. The former baritone section leader will now return to Northwestern State University in the newly formed position of associate director of bands/director of athletic bands. Bailey began his duties on July 15.

The trial was originally to have been before a jury, but as jurors were about to be chosen Monday, July 8, defendant Tatianna Jenell Burns, 42, asked for a bench trial before District Judge Donald E.
