There is a heat advisory in place (once again) for the Twin Tiers starting Monday at noon and ending at 8pm Tuesday. Our average high temperature for this area is typically 84° this time of year. For a few days this week our temperatures will be at or nearly 10 degrees warmer than that. The National Weather Service pulled the trigger on a pair of heat advisory days to start the week.

We also have chances for strong or marginally severe storms for Tuesday and Wednesday – and then cue the cooler temperatures! With the impending cool front and rain chances, the week will also bring with it temperatures that will only top out below average by the end of the work week. We’re looking at the low-80s under mostly clear skies! That is a nice make-up call.

Tonight rain showers and in the upper-60s, then very hot Monday and in the mid-90s with heat index readings feeling more like 101° with strong PM storms possible.
