KPD Find Man Asleep At The Wheel-While Still In Drive Mode
Kennewick Police were dispatched to a welfare check Thursday morning in the 700 block of West Vineyard Drive. A man was slumped over in a vehicle. When officers arrived, they found the man in a white Kia sedan. He appeard to be asleep at the wheel. However, the vehicle was still in drive mode, posing a danger to the public. Officers had a suspicion the driver was under the influence, as they saw paraphernalia inside the vehicle. It's alleged the driver may have been using marijuana and Fentanyl.

RICHLAND, Wash.-IRONMAN 70.3 Washington Tri-Cities is one month away and the City of West Richland is advising residents to be ready for some road closures. Part of the the 56-mile bike course of the race will go through West Richland necessitating some traffic delays, detours and road closures on Sept. 22.

Warrant issued for Terrace Heights man who failed to show for arraignment on marijuana charge
A Yakima County Superior Court Judge issued a bench warrant for a Terrace Heights man accused of operating a marijuana growing operation in two counties. Francisco Javier Solorio-Valencia, 38, was to have appeared in court Tuesday for arraignment on charges of possessing marijuana with intent to deliver but did not show up in court. Solorio-Valencia has been out of custody after posting $25,000 bail in that case.

GRANT COUNTY, Wash. — Grant County Health District (GCHD) is responding to a significant increase in whooping cough cases. According to the Grant County Health District, since June, 28 cases have been reported, primarily linked to Slavic churches in Moses Lake and Soap Lake. Most affected individuals are unvaccinated or not up to date with their vaccinations.
