Star Spangled Shenandoah deemed a success
(Shenandoah) -- By all accounts, Shenandoah residents got a bang out of the community's pre-Independence Day activities Wednesday. After a wet start to the week, the sky cleared for the Star Spangled Shenandoah festivities Wednesday afternoon and evening at Sportsman's' Park, ranging from carnival games and pie baking contests to the fireworks show that concluded the night's festivities. Natalie Kirsch is the President of the Forum to Revitalize Shenandoah. Kirsch tells KMA News the lineup of festivities and vendors more or less went off without a hitch.
Bottled, boil water advisory issued for parts of Shenandoah
(Shenandoah) -- Some Shenandoah residents are asked to boil their water or use bottled water until further notice. City officials say a bottled/boil water advisory is in effect for residents in the 300 and 400 block of North Broad Street and all who reside on Wabash Avenue. Officials say water service to impacted residents will be interrupted until necessary repairs are complete and water service is restored.
