(KMAland) -- Clarinda alum Jett Williams has earned a position on the Iowa National High School rodeo team. Williams will be traveling with teammates to Rock Springs, Wyoming July 14th-20th to compete at the 76th Annual National High School Finals Rodeo in Saddle Bronc Riding, Calf Roping, Team Roping and Steer Wrestling.
Shenandoah high school senior Hodges hosting July volleyball camp
(Shenandoah) -- Shenandoah youth can brush up on their volleyball skills throughout this month. That's because Shenandoah High senior Ashlynn Hodges is holding a volleyball camp for 3rd through 7th graders at the Old Armory at 423 West Thomas Avenue in Shenandoah on July 15th, 17th, 24th, 25th, 29th, and 30th. Speaking on KMA's "Morning Show" program recently, Hodges says she wanted to start the camp to offer another chance for younger players to hone their skills.
Reed's perfection puts Lenox past SIdney, into district semifinal
(Lenox) -- Lenox baseball received five flawless innings of pitching from senior Carter Reed Saturday afternoon, advancing the Tigers to a Class 1A District 15 semifinal. Reed pieced together a five-inning, 56-pitch perfect game as Lenox (19-7) rolled to a 10-0 win over Sidney (5-13) in a district quarterfinal on KMA-FM 99.1.
