With action in the transfer portal slowing down, it is time to take a closer look at how each P4 school did during this cycle. Up now are the Oregon Ducks

The skinny: Oregon is looking to make an immediate splash in their first Big Ten season, which was helped dramatically after an impressive transfer portal cycle. The Ducks added All-American candidates at quarterback and wide receiver, reloaded the interior of their defensive line and totally overhauled their secondary by adding four starters. Head coach Dan Lanning continues to be aggressive and successful with his use of the portal, which should put the Ducks in a great position this season.

Total # entries into portal: 26

Total # of scholarship players who entered portal: 17

Number of scholarship players who withdrew: 0

Key losses: DB Collin Gill (Georgia), DB Cole Martin (Arizona State), RB Dante Dowdell (Nebraska), DB Trikweze Bridge (Florida)

Key additions: QB Dillon Gabriel (Oklahoma), WR Evan Stewart (Texas A&M), OL Matthew Bedford (Indiana), DL Derrick Harmon (Michigan State), DL Jamaree Caldwell (Houston), DB Kam Alexander (UTSA), DB Kobe Savage (Kansas State), DB Jabbar Muhammad (Washington), DB Brandon Johnson (Duke)

Final thoughts: One way to move on from Bo Nix is by replacing him with Dillon Gabriel , who has a fantastic opportunity to finish the 2024 season as the FBS all-time passing yards leader. The Ducks then strengthened an already potent receiving group by adding Evan Stewart . Most of the heavy lifting was done on defense though. This is in large part to the secondary, which was a potential issue after the 2023 season. However, that was quickly resolved with the additions of Kobe Savage, Kam Alexander, Jabbar Muhammad and Brandon Johnson , who will all start. And on the defensive line, Derrick Harmon and Jamaree Caldwell form a potentially dominant duo. Oregon already had plenty of talent, but with the help of the portal, they look poised for a huge season in Eugene.
