We’re a week away from Watermelon Festival in Fair Bluff. Everything kicks off Friday night with a kind of bittersweet evening. You can visit downtown Fair Bluff next Friday and say goodbye to some of the landmark buildings that will start coming down in the next few months. The town is completely revamping the flood damaged business district, and that means some of the oldest buildings will be demolished. Visitors on Friday can reminisce about Fair Bluff and check out the soon-to-be-demolished buildings from the ton’s heyday.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A woman linked to numerous dance studios across the state, including one in Raleigh, was arrested in Raleigh for charges of indecent liberties with a minor. Scattered showers and storms possible Saturday across central NC
Afternoon and evening storms could turn severe because of damaging winds on Saturday.Heavy rain could cause flooding locally, according to ABC11 meteorologist Steve Stewart, especially in areas that have seen recent heavy rain.Temperatures could reach the high 80s.This follows scattered storms and showers moving across central North Carolina on Friday. Some areas saw between 1 to 3.5 inches of rain.Rainfall totals reached a quarter of an inch across the viewing area.Looking Ahead Sunday and Monday look to be warmer and humid.
