The Wortham softball team split a pair of games last week.

The Lady Bulldogs lost to Hubbard, 13-1, and defeated Frost, 10-0. Both games were stopped due to the 10-run mercy rule.

Against Frost, Wortham scored one run in the first inning and pulled away with four in the home half of the second. They added three in the third and two in the fourth.

Megan Cryer pitched the five-inning shutout to get the win. She allowed four hits and struck out six batters.
