FISD approves calendar for 2024-25

The Fairfield ISD Board of Trustees approved the 2024-2025 academic calendar at the March 18 school board meeting. The first day of school for students will be on Wednesday, March 14.
The school day will be from 7:50 a.m. - 3:35 p.m. at all campuses. There are no early release days on the school calendar.
New staff training will be held on Aug. 1 and Aug 2. Staff development days for teachers will be Aug. 6, 7, 8, 12, and 13. Friday, Aug. 9, is a comp day for staff.
Monday, Sept. 2, is Labor Day and will be a school holiday. Students will have no school on Friday, Sept. 20, as it is a staff development day.
No school will be held on Friday, Oct. 4. This is the open week for football. The end of the first nine weeks is Friday, Oct. 11.
The second nine weeks begins Tuesday, Oct. 15. Monday, Oct. 14, is a staff development day. There will be no school on Monday, Nov. 4. Thanksgiving break is scheduled for the week of Nov. 25-29. The end of the second nine weeks will be on Friday, Dec. 20.
Christmas break is scheduled for Monday Dec. 23 - Friday, Jan. 3. Monday, Jan. 6 and Tuesday, Jan. 7, are staff development days so students will have two extra days off for Christmas break.
The third nine weeks begins on Wednesday, Jan. 8. Monday, Jan. 20, is MLK Day and a school holiday.
There will be no school on Friday, Feb. 14, and Monday, Feb. 17. These two days are Valentine’s Day and President’s Day. The end of the third nine weeks is on Friday, March 7.
Spring Break is scheduled for the week of March 10 -14. Monday, March 17, is a staff development day so students will have an extra day off at Spring Break.
The fourth nine weeks begins on Tuesday, March 18. There will be no school on Friday, April 18, or Monday, April 21. This is the weekend of Easter.
There will be no school on Friday, May 9. The end of the fourth nine weeks and the last day of school is on Wednesday, May 21.
Thursday, May 22, is a staff development day. Graduation for the Class of 2025 will be held on Friday, May 23.
