Man dies in private pond Saturday in Harrisburg
HARRISBURG, Mo. (KMIZ) A 32-year-old man died in a private pond late afternoon Saturday, according to Boone County Fire Protection District Assistant Chief Gale Blomenkamp. Blomenkamp told ABC 17 News that the man was visiting friends in the 7000 block of W Sweringen Road in Harrisburg. One of two accused of stealing birthday presents from Boonville Walmart, then leading police on high-speed chase pleads guilty
One of two Columbia residents accused of stealing from a Cooper County Walmart, then leading law enforcement from several agencies on a vehicle pursuit, pleads guilty. Anthony Jasper II, 29, pleaded guilty last week to driving with a revoked or suspended license. In exchange for his plea, a charge of stealing was dismissed. Jasper was sentenced to five years supervised probation. If he violates the conditions of his probation, he faces four years in prison.
Columbia man charged after drugs found in chicken box during traffic stop
A Columbia man faces several charges after Boone County deputies found methamphetamine in a box of chicken. Boone County prosecutors charged Devantre Levon Johnson with Deliver Controlled Substance, Second Degree Trafficking Drugs, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and a misdemeanor charge of Driving While Revoked.
Trial set to begin Tuesday for man accused of deadly stabbing in Ashland
BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ) A man accused of stabbing a man to death in 2021 is set to face a jury Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Boone County courthouse. Robin Morales-Sanchez is charged with second-degree murder, first-degree assault and two counts of armed criminal action for allegedly stabbing Moises Hernandez-Sanchez nearly a dozen times in the torso and leaving him for dead at an Ashland home in 2021.
