New Arkansas head basketball coach John Calipari became a Fayetteville homeowner on June 10, land records show.

    • He bought a five-bedroom, 6,800-square-foot home in the Clear Creek subdivision — near The Blessings Golf Club — for $2.2 million.

The intrigue: The previous owner, Robert Taylor White of the T&B White Family Trust, paid just $1.22 million for it in February 2023, when it was purchased from Jessica and Matthew Dearnley.

    • Jessica is the daughter of Arkansas commercial real estate legend John Flake and serves as CEO of Flake & Co. of Little Rock.

By the numbers: A Zillow listing for the Calipari property at 4668 Jean Lane — technically in Fayetteville if you're confused about Clear Creek — says the house has seven bathrooms.

    • There is no pool.

Between the lines: The Clear Creek subdivision was developed by John H. Tyson, chairman of Tyson Foods, in the early 2000s. Tyson played a role in connecting Arkansas athletic director Hunter Yurachek with Calipari.

The bottom line: Calipari listed his Kentucky home for $3.99 million .
