After a hot streak of signing top talent from the 2025 recruiting class, Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs struck out on this one.

Four-star linebacker recruit Tavion Wallace from Jesup, Georgia has committed to the Arkansas Razorbacks over the Bulldogs.

According to 247Sports, Wallace is the third-ranked linebacker in the country, the No. 36 overall recruit, and the eighth-ranked player in the Peach State.

Wallace, 6-foot-1, 210 pounds, will enter his senior year at Wayne County High School after logging 58 tackles, four for loss, 10 quarterback hurries, three pass breakups, and 1.5 sacks in 2023. He is also a track star and recorded an impressive 10.9 seconds in the 100-meters.

While the Bulldogs could have used another star-stubbed defender like Wallace, the Razorbacks may have desperately needed him more considering he is the highest-rated recruit to commit to Arkansas since defensive tackle McTelvin Agim in 2016.

The Razorbacks Can Have Wallace, Georgia Still Does it Better

As for Georgia, they have been doing just fine in the recruiting department and currently rank No. 3 in the recruiting class rankings with 17 players from the class of 2025 committed so far.

Just last month, the Bulldogs were able to land the No. 2 linebacker and five-star recruit, Zayden Walker .

Georgia had been chasing the 6-foot-2, 225-pound defender since 2021.

Walker, a two-way player from Schley County (Ga), racked up 40 tackles (16.5 tackles for loss), 27 QB hits, seven sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and a pass breakup on defense last fall. He also carried the ball 77 times for 518 yards and 13 touchdowns on offense, while also catching 10 passes for 169 yards and four more scores.

In addition to football, Walker is a basketball and track star too.
