Gabriel Gass, 25, was arrested on June 20 on two counts of aggravated death by delivery-fentanyl, delivery of fentanyl, possession of fentanyl, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence.

A probable cause affidavit filed on July 12 said on June 10, Brodie Black was found dead due to a fentanyl overdose and Andrew Tucker Jr. was found dead five days later from a fentanyl overdose.

Bentonville police were able to access both of their cell phones with assistance of their family members and find messages the two sent to Gass.

A conversation between Gass and Black on June 9 was found, according to the affidavit. Gass reportedly delivered four fentanyl pills to Black before his death.

On June 13, a conversation between Tucker and Gass on Instagram showed Gass delivered three fentanyl pills to Black prior to his death.

Gass was arrested on June 20 after reportedly selling six fentanyl pills to a confidential informant. He later admitted to selling fentanyl to both Tucker and Black on the dates when the messages were sent.

Court documents show Gass pleaded guilty in Benton County in 2019 to two counts of breaking and entering. He was given six years state supervised probation.

The charge is applied when a person gives fentanyl or another controlled substance to someone who dies from it, according to the law .

Gass is being held in the Benton County Detention Center on a $1 million bond and has a court date set for July 22.
