Fondy JFL soon to kickoff for another season of fun

FOND DU LAC - It's almost that time of the year, again, football parents!

For those unfamiliar, Fondy Junior Football League (FJFL) is a direct feeder program for kids to Fond du Lac Cardinals high school football. Kids in fifth grade through eighth grade are encouraged to participate in order to learn how to play the game, develop key athletic and life skills, and most of all to have fun.

Per the league's mission statement:

"The Fondy Junior Football League was organized exclusively for educational and instructional purposes in the development of youth football. The organization is dedicated to the principles of fair play, good sportsmanship, and to the development of character in football players. We believe that players will have fun if each player has the opportunity to develop football skills to the best of his/her ability through practice and organized game participation. It is the goal of this organization to teach the game of football, to assure player safety and provide intelligent supervision insofar as it is possible and to provide for the welfare of the participants, and finally to instill in each player the virtues necessary to achieve success."

No previous football experience or knowledge is required to play. Players practice during the week with games on Saturday. All head coaches are USA Football certified. Head and assistant coaches go through a concussion course training and background check.

Note: All events will be held at the Fondy Junior Football Building, 389 Morris St., Fond du Lac, unless noted otherwise

Sunday JFL Free Football Camps - all times 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. - held at Fond du Lac High School on the new turf field

June 23rd | June 30th | July 14th | July 21st

JFL Non-Padded Camp Week

Monday, July 22nd thru Wednesday, July 24th - 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. each day

Equipment Handout & Start of FJFL Season - Sunday, August 3rd
