Florence is going to the dogs – in a good way.

From 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 17 the town of Florence, Pinal County Animal Care and Control, and the Anthem Community Center will host the annual Drive-Thru Pooch Party.

Residents can bring their dogs to the Anthem Dog Park, where employees from Pinal County Animal Care and Control will be issuing rabies and other shots, as well as licenses, for a fee, according to a posting on the town's Facebook page. Cash and checks are preferred

All pets must be on a leash. Special arrangements will be made to vaccinate cats or aggressive dogs.

State law and Pinal County ordinance require all dogs three months of age or older to be vaccinated against rabies and to be licensed.

For questions on fees and services provided in the comments, call Pinal County Animal Care and Control at 520-509-3555.
