Third arrest made after woman’s body found in plastic bin

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A third person has been arrested in connection to the killing of an Arkansas woman found inside a plastic bin in February of this year.

The St. Francis County Sheriff’s Department announced on Thursday that 49-year-old Willie Calvin Smith of Forrest City, Ark. has been arrested and charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Possession of a Firearm by a Certain Person.

His bond was set at $150,000.

42-year-old Troy Alexandria Strope’s nude, decomposed body was discovered inside a plastic storage bin on February 20 by boys on four-wheelers riding down St. Francis County Road 731.

Two other men are facing charges in connection to her death.

In June, Micah Lacy , 45, of Forrest City was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, abuse of a corpse, and a felony weapons charge. His bond was initially set a $1 million.

Just four days later, Corey Jerome Anderson , 41, was also arrested and charged with abuse of a corpse. His bond was set at $50,000.
