LAS VEGAS — EA Sports College Football 25 has the sports world buzzing right now.
The video game launches worldwide on Friday, July 19, but fans who pre-ordered were able to play the game three days early. Colorado will be a popular team to play with as the Buffaloes boast two of the highest-rated players on the game.
Shedeur Sanders is tied (with Georgia's Carson Beck) for the highest-rated quarterback in the game (93 overall).
Two-way star Travis Hunter is the top-rated receiver in the game at 95 overall.
Colorado safety Shilo Sanders slots in right behind them as the Buffaloes' third highest-rated player in College Football 25.
"It's actually cool," Shilo said of his 86 overall rating at Big 12 media days. "One thing about it, my hitting power is probably the highest on the game. I don't know if it is, but I think it is."
If Shilo's hitting power on College Football 25 is indeed the highest on the game, it would be deserved.
Not only did Shilo lead Colorado in tackles (70) last season, his four forced fumbles led the Pac-12 and ranked second in the nation. No defensive back in the country forced more fumbles than Shilo did in 2023.
In 2024, Shilo expects to make even more impact plays thanks in part to the Buffs' transfer additions.
"With all the new players we got, even the defensive linemen and linebackers, I can really play free now," Shilo told the Coloradoan at Big 12 media days . "I can take a proper drop, start at 15 yards, get back deep, go get the go-balls and be rangy."
"If I could get some forced fumbles and picks (interceptions), that'd be crazy."
