TCU coach Sonny Dykes is adding two more former head coaches to his staff.

The Star-Telegram has confirmed multiple reports that Dykes will add Dana Holgorsen and Todd Graham as analysts for the upcoming season.

Holgorsen spent five seasons as the head coach at Houston going 31-28 with a 12-2 mark in 2021, and was fired following a 4-8 season last fall. Before going to Houston, he went 61-41 in eight seasons at West Virginia, recording three AP top-20 finishes.

Holgorsen and Dykes go back as they both worked under Mike Leach at Texas Tech from 2000-06. Holgorsen and Dykes coached the Red Raiders’ wide receivers and shared offensive coordinator duties in 2005 and 2006. The groundwork for Holgorsen’s addition was laid in the spring when he took in a TCU spring practice at Amon G. Carter Stadium.

Graham is a Dallas/Fort Worth native who was 106-72 as a head coach at Rice , Tulsa , Pitt , Arizona State and Hawai’i. He resigned at Hawai’i in 2021 amid complaints from players about his demanding coaching style and hasn’t had a full-time position since.

However, Graham has been a constant presence at TCU practices since Dykes’ arrival and the move comes as no surprise with Graham having a strong defensive background.

This offseason, Dykes has already added former Boise State coach Andy Avalos as a defensive coordinator and former Nevada coach Ken Wilson as a linebackers coach.
