ROCHESTER — A trial date has been set for a Rochester man accused of shooting his neighbor multiple times.

Jason Levesque, 44, has been held without bail since his arrest on April 8, four days after the shooting. On Tuesday, he was back in court for a dispositional hearing, resulting in his trial being set to begin Monday, Nov. 4 with jury selection, according to Assistant Strafford County Attorney Joachim Barth.

Levesque is charged with multiple felonies alleging he shot his next-door neighbor on Summer Street, Kyle Violette, 37, six times following an altercation about snow plowing.

Levesque was indicted in July by a grand jury on charges of attempted murder and first-degree assault, both Class A felonies. The attempted murder charge is a special felony that could bring enhanced penalties.

Levesque is represented by Attorney Mark Sisti, who has previously indicated he will argue his client acted in self-defense.
