Woman in fraud cases arrested after skipping sentencing in March
A Greenville woman who pleaded guilty to more than 27 counts of fraud has been charged again after she failed to show up to her sentencing hearing in March, authorities said. The Pitt County Sheriff's Office said that in February Jacqueline Carrie Barr, 22, of 3914 Sterling Pointe Drive, pleaded guilty in Pitt County Superior Court to 27 counts of felony obtaining property by false pretense. A man suspected of breaking into a Bell Arthur convenience store and stealing more than $1,600 in cigarettes has been charged with that crime and similar ones in Greenville and Winterville, authorities said.
