The Arkansas baseball team has received a big-time commitment from East Carolina left-handed pitcher Zach Root, who announced his pledge to the Razorbacks on Monday. A 6-foot-1, 186-pound soon-to-be junior, Root finished the 2024 season with a 3.56 ERA in 68.1 innings. In 13 appearances and 12 starts, the Florida native struck out 76 batters, walked 21 hitters and held opponents to a .228 batting average. Oklahoma transfer Brad Pruett commits to ECU
East Carolina has picked up some more help on the pitcher's transfer market this offseason, landing Brad Pruett, a right-handed pitcher from the University of Oklahoma. Pruett is the second pitcher transfer commitment to announce for ECU this offseason, joining Loyola Marymount left-hander Ryan Towers, a weekend starter for the Lions last season. East Carolina has also secured a pledge from Old Dominion infielder Alex Bouche, who committed in mid-June. Greene Central Claims No. 2 Spot in nation in Small Town Top 25 Rankings. In a spectacular season that showcased deep talent and incredible defense, Greene Central High School baseball clinched the No. 2 position out of all teams in the United States within the Small Town Top 25 high school baseball rankings.
