LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The recent loss of 7 years old Caleab Radford-Todd has inspired his parents to start a non-profit that will help children and families in need of hope during hard times.

Radford-Todd died on June 20 from stage 3 brain cancer. His mother Jessica Radford says he stood resilient to it all and brought joy to many he encountered.

“He was just so sweet he hit it head on, he didn’t cry. Everybody thought he was just so mature for his age,” Radford said.

She said it wasn’t until Caleab began having silent seizures that they knew something was wrong. He was taken to Arkansas Children’s Hospital where he was diagnosed with stage 3 brain cancer.

His father Darius Todd says everything escalated drastically.

“We didn’t know what to expect because everything happened so fast,” Todd said.

He said that Caleab began radiation and chemotherapy for 6 months, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to save his life.

“Love your kids’ man, pray to God,” Todd said.

It’s a reality that taught him and Jessica how valuable Time is.

“We didn’t expect this, but he told us he loved us,” Radford said.

Now the two are starting a non-profit that will help other families who have the same or similar experiences. It’s something that will be used to  honor Caleabs life while giving hope to those who need it the most.

“Not just kids with Tumors or cancer, anything we have another son who has autism, so we want to start a nonprofit for all of that. Any kid that’s going through anything, any family,” Radford said.
