Caney Police calling on community to adopt dogs at local shelter

CANEY, Kan. — Caney Police is calling on the community to find homes for several dogs at the local shelter.

The shelter is currently above max capacity, which is preventing the City from being able to take in more stray dogs.

Caney Police said they receive calls of loose dogs on a daily basis and need to help housing them.

"Please get the word out to anyone and everyone! We want to adopt as many as we can so we can continue to provide this service for our community," said Caney Police via Facebook.
