Driving range evicted from Riverwalk Crossing in Jenks

    2024-04-24

JENKS, Okla. — The company that manages the Riverwalk Crossing announced GolfSuites Tulsa has been evicted from the property.

The announcement came from Onefire Holding Company, a business division of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation.

Onefire said they evicted Golfsuites after Golfsuites breeched the lease agreement.

According to Onefire, Golfsuites has operated at Riverwalk Cross since 2019. Starting in December 2022, Onefire made efforts to work with Golfsuites to maintain that, but said Golfsuites’ inability to fulfill lease obligations left the no choice but to evict.

Onefire said in November 2023, due to GolfSuites’ noncompliance with lease terms, they filed a lawsuit in the Muscogee Nation's District Court seeking to recover possession of the leased property and fulfillment of outstanding financial obligations.

“We value the relationships we have with our tenants at Riverwalk Crossing, and the economic contributions they bring to the local community are significant. However, Onefire also has a responsibility to the Nation and its Citizens to uphold sound business practices and principles in our management of Riverwalk Crossing.,” Onefire interim CEO Debbie Severson said.

A letter that was allegedly sent to members was shared with FOX23.
