LEXINGTON, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — In 2020, the Kentucky Center for School Safety and the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security collaborated to establish a statewide tip line for schools.

This tip line allows students, teachers, and parents to anonymously report concerns about bullying, mental health, or potential violence within schools.

    LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

“We hope that each child in a school setting has at least one adult that they can go to in time, and they need to share information, important information with them on, if that’s not, readily available, maybe because the kids don’t want to be seen with an adult saying important information. This gives them an option where they can have their privacy. And nobody would know that they’re, you know, registering that tip with us,” John Akers, executive director for Kentucky Center for School Safety.

To submit a tip, people can call (866) 393-6659, text KSPTIP to 67283, or submit a tip on the Homeland Security website.
