Colorado Lottery jackpot hit again, third winner in less than 3 weeks

DENVER ( KDVR ) — In less than three weeks, three separate people have become millionaires after hitting Colorado Lottery jackpots.

On July 31, a man from Florida hit the jackpot and won $5.7 million after purchasing a Colorado Lotto+ ticket in Snowmass. But the good luck didn’t stop there; a few days later, another ticket hit the jackpot.

On Aug. 3, Max C. of Thornton was the lucky owner of a winning Colorado Lotto+ ticket worth $1.1 million . The ticket was sold at a King Soopers in Thornton.

Now, the Colorado Lottery said there is a third jackpot winner in less than three weeks. According to the lottery, a ticket won $1,518,642 on Saturday night. The ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven at 1329 Main St. in Carbondale.

According to the lottery, the owner of the million-dollar ticket is still out there. Be sure to check your tickets if you purchased one in Carbondale, the winning numbers are 13-14-15-17-20-38.

The winner has 180 days after the drawing to claim the ticket. If they don’t, the money goes into the beneficiary fund where it is distributed to Great Outdoors Colorado, the Conservation Trust fund and Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

If the winner chooses, they can take home a $759,321 cash option.

The Colorado Lotto+ has created hundreds of millionaires, according to the lottery, as the jackpot starts at $1 million and grows until it’s hit. The odds of hitting the jackpot are 1 in 3.84 million. Tickets cost $2 to play and the odds of winning any prize are 1 in 30.

The next Colorado Lotto+ drawing is Monday night, and the jackpot is at $1 million.
