    Two crashes, one woman dead on southbound I-35 outside of Cameron

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a woman was killed in a crash minutes after being involved in a previous wreck on southbound I-35, just north of Cameron, Missouri, on Sunday morning.

    MSHP says that the first crash occurred at about 5 a.m. after a Toyota 4Runner, driven by 38-year-old Lucy Pineda of Farmington, Minnesota drove into a median, overcorrected, returned to the roadway and overturned.

    Two passengers were involved in the crash, 27-year-old Nexy Escobar and Yefri Salines, both from St. Paul, Minnesota.

    Escobar is reported to have minor injuries, and Salines is reported to have serious injuries. They were taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center by Dekalb and Daviess County EMS.

    After the crash, the Toyota was on its top in both lanes of southbound I-35 when Pineda got out of the vehicle and stood in the roadway.

    MSHP said that about five minutes later, at approximately 5:05 a.m., a Ford Edge, driven by 34-year-old Archie Seneh of Kansas City, Missouri, struck Pineda and the 4Runner in the roadway. The Ford then traveled into the median.

    Pineda was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dekalb County Coroner.

    Three passengers, all of which were Kansas City, Missouri residents, were in the Ford, including 56-year-old Lyndie Seneh, who is reported to have serious injuries, 36-year-old Regina Seneh, who is reported to have moderate injuries, and a baby boy, who is reported to have minor injuries.

    As for the driver, Archie Seneh, he did not suffer any injuries in the crash.

    Lyndie Seneh was taken to KU Medical Center by Cameron EMS. The baby and Regina Seneh were taken to Liberty Hospital by Cameron EMS.
