Creekview Ranch School in the Dry Creek School District was emailed a bomb threat on Wednesday morning forcing all 800 students to evacuate, according to the sheriff’s office.

The email was traced to a juvenile who was arrested and booked into a juvenile detention center.

The sheriff’s office said that they did not locate any evidence indicating the juvenile would have been able to carry out the bomb threat.

K9 units from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office and the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office along with Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) personnel swept the campus and declared it clear and safe.

Students who were not reunited with their children returned to class several hours after they had been evacuated from the campus.
