    Woman dies in Thomasville crash after truck runs off road, hits utility pole, police say

    THOMASVILLE, N.C. (WGHP) — A woman is dead following a crash in Thomasville on Wednesday, according to the Thomasville Police Department.

    At 11:24 a.m., Thomasville officers responded to the intersection of Lexington Avenue and Baptist Children’s Home Road when they were told about a crash.

    A 1994 Ford F150 was going east on Lexington Avenue when it crossed the center line and ran off the road to the left.

    The truck hit a parked vehicle and then a utility pole.

    The driver, of the Ford F150, Elicia Todd, 52, of Thomasville, was pronounced dead on scene.

    The investigation is ongoing.

    Lexington Avenue from Martin Luther King Drive to Myrtle Drive was opened back up at 3 p.m.
