FRANKLIN, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — An Indiana man wanted on numerous charges, including kidnapping and rape, was arrested in Kentucky.
According to the Kentucky State Police (KSP), officials were alerted that 28-year-old Cody Medsker of New Castle, Indiana, was wanted on kidnapping, rape of a minor, and other criminal charges. Deputies said they received word around 9 a.m. on Tuesday that he was traveling south on I-65.

Law enforcement said Medsker and his 2016 red Chevrolet Silverado were spotted at a gas station near exit six in Franklin. When confronted, Medsker reportedly ran away before he was eventually seen fleeing from a barn, crossing Rapids Road, and running into a nearby cornfield.
According to an arrest citation, Medsker was ordered to come out of the cornfield after being surrounded by 30 law enforcement officers. After refusing to exit the field, two KSP helicopters, seven KSP troopers, and a KSP K-9 searched for him.

Records show he was arrested and booked into the Simpson County Detention Center, where he was charged with:
- Second-degree fleeing or evading the police (on foot)
- Resisting arrest
- Second-degree indecent exposure
- First-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer (seven counts)
- Third-degree burglary
Medsker is being held on a $50,000 cash bond and is due to appear in court Thursday morning.
