Billings to Welcome Two New Event Centers by Year’s End
Billings is set to elevate its event hosting capabilities with the imminent completion of two state-of-the-art event centers by the close of the year. The Billings Hotel & Convention Center is slated to unveil a significant addition, encompassing approximately 16,000 square feet of brand-new space. This expansion aims to cater to larger gatherings and enhance the venue’s overall capacity for events.

Junior Ranger education day at Pictograph Cave State Park, July 19. Pictograph Cave State Park is hosting a Junior Ranger program on Friday, July 19, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Registration is required for the event and space is limited. This free, hands-on program will feature activities and lessons on local animal identification and habitats, geology and pictographs. The program is open to all ages but is best suited for youth 6-12 years old.

The Riverton School Board will be meeting on Wednesday this month to approve their budget for the coming school year. Trustees will be asked to approve a general fund budget of $46.1 million dollars, and with their other specific funds, such as food service, insurance, capital construction, major maintenance and such, the total budget is $89.4 million. Teenager identified as person killed in motorcycle crash with city bus on Tuesday
BILLINGS, Mont. - The Billings Police Department shared on Tuesday evening that a motorcyclist died after hitting a city MET bus. According to the post from Sgt. Reid, the bus was turning left at 6:33 p.m. headed south onto 15th Street West from Grand Avenue when the motorcycle hit the bus. The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and was pronounced dead at the site of the crash.

The Chippewa Cree woman was visiting the Flathead Indian Reservation from the Rocky Boy’s Reservation. In addition to those two reservations, Bear has ties to Billings.
