Meeting For Anticipated Final Action on Lakeforest Mall Property Redevelopment is Set For September
The Mayor and City Council and Planning Commission conducted a Joint Public Hearing on June 17, 2024 on the redevelopment of the Lakeforest Mall property by WRS, Inc. followed by a Joint Work Session with the Mayor and City Council and Planning Commission that was held on July 8, 2024. New Tysons-Bethesda bus service coming soon to I-495
Commuters will soon get the option to travel directly between Virginia and Maryland’s most populous counties by bus, though the initial journey likely won’t be swift. Fairfax County will receive $2 million from the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT) to provide Fairfax Connector bus service between the Tysons West Park Transit Station (8300 Jones Branch Drive) and the Bethesda Metro station (7450 Wisconsin Avenue) in Montgomery County.

Maryland woman, dual organ donor advocates for bill to give tax break to donors
A Maryland woman is advocating for a bill aimed at increasing the number of live organ donors. Lindsay Gutierrez, originally from Oklahoma, served in security forces for the U.S. Air Force from 2010 to 2016. After tours alongside her husband in both England and Georgia, she was transferred to Maryland to work with the Department of Defense. She currently lives in Ellicott City.
