    VIDEO: Gaithersburg home struck by lightning

    MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) crews were at the scene of a home that was struck by lightning during Monday evening’s storms.

    MCFRS responded to the house in the 14800 block of Braemar Crescent Way in Gaithersburg. Pete Piringer, a spokesman for the department, said all of the home’s occupants were able to get out.

    In a video posted by Piringer, viewers can see a considerable amount of smoke coming from the home as light rain pours outside. The roof of the house has a large hole in it.

    Multiple firefighters were on the scene to help.
