Just after 6pm on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, Galena Police and Cherokee County Sheriff's Deputies were called to Schermerhorn Park Creek in Galena after reports of a verbal exchange between a large group of individuals. Reports indicated that a suspect had assaulted park goers and their children by brandishing a weapon and then fleeing the scene.

HOUSTON, Texas — A man led deputies on a foot pursuit and was arrested on drug charges after a disturbance at an apartment complex, authorities said. On July 15, 2024, at approximately 3:07 PM, Deputy Cartlidge of the Harris County Precinct 8 Constable's Office responded to a disturbance at an apartment complex in the 4300 block of S Shaver, according to a press release from the department. The witness reported a male who appeared to be on drugs in a vacant apartment.
