Crash closes road connecting to Route 15 in Adams County
A late Thursday morning crash has shut down an Adams County road that connects to Route 15, PennDOT said. A multi-vehicle crash was reported at about 11:45 a.m. on Route 234 in Tyrone Township. Since then, both sides of the road have closed in the area of Route 15 north and Oxford and White Church roads, according to 511PA.

Homeowners hit with pricey sidewalk repairs in Cumberland County borough’s paving project
About a month ago, Cortney Bench noticed Mechanicsburg borough workers spray painting pink marks on the sidewalk in front of her home on Broad Street. The workers told her husband the borough was preparing for a paving project, but first the sidewalks needed to be fixed. Two weeks later, the couple received a bill for $4,000. Bench’s mother, Brenda Miller, who lives near her, got a bill for an eye-popping $9,200.

The U.S. Department of Labor has fined a Perry County company more than $60,000. Inspectors with the department’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration opened an investigation of S&L Roofing, Gutters and Siding after the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry notified the agency that the owner’s 12- and 14-year-old sons were doing roofing work.
