Several restaurants in DeSoto County, Florida, have been cited for multiple violations during recent inspections conducted by state officials.

According to data from the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation, Super Smash Burger, Estella's La Rancherita, and Hot Tamales were among the restaurants cited for the most violations in the last 30 days.

Sitting atop the miniature list is Super Smash Burger, located at 2000 Voss Oaks Cir in Arcadia, which faced six health and safety violations, including one High Priority and four Intermediate violations.

As a result of the issues, an administrative complaint follow-up inspection required was recommended following the inspection conducted by state officials on April 24.

Estella's La Rancherita, situated at 210 W Magnolia Street in Arcadia, was cited for five violations, including three High Priority infractions, on April 26. A warning was issued, and a follow-up inspection was required.

Meanwhile, Hot Tamales, located at 161 S Brevard Ave in Arcadia, received four violations, including one High Priority violation, during an inspection on May 2, which was completed with no further action required.

As the 49th most populated county in Florida, DeSoto County offers several dining options, including fast food, casual restaurants, and local eateries.

However, the recent inspections have raised concerns about the adherence to food safety standards in some establishments.
