China Taste Buffet among Hendry County, FL, restaurants with the most health violations

The Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation has revealed three restaurants in Hendry County that have been cited for multiple health code violations in recent inspections.

According to state records, China Taste Buffet, an all-you-can-eat Chinese restaurant located at 930 W Sugarland Hwy in Clewiston, was among the establishments with the highest number of violations.

What happened during this inspection?

During an inspection on March 26, China Taste Buffet was cited for 12 violations, including two high-priority infractions.

The inspector noted evidence of roach activity and objectionable odors, resulting in a warning being issued. A follow-up inspection on March 27 found five additional violations, though the report stated the restaurant met inspection standards.

Some customers have complained about the quality and freshness of the food served at China Taste Buffet.

"Food was Horrible! As soon as me and my husband ate our food, the texture tasted weird, not fresh at all, like everything was re-dipped. I instantly got sick.," wrote Daniella in a Google review.

Meanwhile, Taqueria Jalapenos Inc., located in Wauchula, received 11 violations during an inspection on May 21, while Fortune Cookie in Clewiston was cited for 11 violations on March 19.
