The Melbourne Burger King at 1895 W New Haven Ave in Brevard County, Florida, was temporarily closed on July 26, 2024, following a complaint inspection by the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation.

The popular fast-food restaurant chain, known for its grilled burgers and shakes, received 13 violations, including two high-priority infractions.

What Happened During The Initial Inspection: When inspectors visited the eatery on July 26, they found evidence of rodent activity, with droppings observed in multiple areas, including the drive-through, manager's office, and storage rooms.

Live, small flying insects were also spotted in the drive-thru area of the kitchen. These high-priority violations prompted immediate action from health officials.

Notable basic violations included a dead lizard in a glue trap, a dead roach in the storage room, and an employee preparing food without proper hair restraint.

The inspection also revealed maintenance concerns, such as a leaking water line behind the ice machine and gaps in exterior doors.

What Happened At The Callback Review: A follow-up inspection on July 27, 2024, showed improvement, with the restaurant meeting inspection standards. However, nine violations were still noted, though none were classified as high-priority.

Despite these recent challenges, some Melbourne residents continue to appreciate this Burger King location.

Ebony Moody, a Google reviewer, praised the establishment for its "friendly service and hot and fresh food.

Great friendly service food was hot and fresh team was very nice and all around great experience

The Burger King location, which holds a current license set to expire on April 1, 2025, has a seating capacity of 60. The Brevard County eatery has a 3.0-star rating based on 724 Google reviews, indicating mixed experiences among local patrons.

NOTE: Please note that an inspection report, per the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation, provides a snapshot of the conditions observed during the inspection.
