    Man arrested for breaking mosque windows in Gastonia

    GASTONIA, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Gastonia man is accused of breaking three windows at a mosque Sunday evening.

    According to a police report, the incident occurred at the 4000 block of Titman Road around 5:40 p.m. at the Islamic Society of Gastonia.

    The report states the damage to the three double-pane windows totaled $900.

    32-year-old Nathan Reynolds Webster was arrested and charged with damage to property/vandalism.

    According to the Gaston County Sheriff’s Office website, he was released shortly after he was booked into the jail. He was given a $1,000 secured bond.

    No additional information is available at this time. We do not know yet why he targeted the mosque or when he is due back in court.
