“HONK THE HORN BRETT!” – Dude Is No Hurry To Intervene As Bear Helps Itself Into Car

This black bear in Gatlinburg, Tennessee said, "Don't mind if I do." When you are out in bear country, you have to be extra careful with things that you might otherwise be nonchalant about. If you aren't used to locking your car, you really should when you visit a place where bears live. These tourists that visited the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (which is annually the most visited national park in the country) learned that the hard way. Some neighbors nearby were driving around the mountain roads and saw a curious bear trying to get into a crossover SUV. This particular wild animal appeared to be "smarter than the average bear," and it quickly started grabbing for the door handles of the vehicle. After some trial and error, the smaller bruin got the car open. It was likely in search of food, which is normally the main cause for any bear interacting with humans. Who knows if the bear found any once it got inside the vehicle, but if there were some snacks in there, it likely chowed down. All of this opening-and-entering craziness was captured on video from another car nearby, with two people named Jessica and Brett inside. Jessica kept trying to tell Brett - the driver of the vehicle - to intervene in some way: "Oh no! Honk the horn, honk the horn. Brett honk the horn. Oh, he's going to tear up their car. Brett, honk the horn!" For some reason, Brett did the "bear minimum" and only softly honked the horn. So eventually, the bruin climbed inside and the car door hilarious closed right behind it.
