God’s Treasures Childcare now open
They are up and running. God’s Treasurers Childcare Learning Center opened its doors on June 3. It received its State of Minnesota license as a childcare center on May 29. Zion Luthern Church had been operating at the church under a family childcare license but had outgrown the facility. There was a vision to open up a center for the past six years.
Sixty from Sibley East participate in Minnesota Trap Shoot Championship
Sibley East was once again well represented at the recent Minnesota Trap Shooting Championship held at Alexandria. Sixty shooters participated from Sibley East, with nine of those topping the 90 out of 100 mark for the competition. It was anticipated that more than 350 high school teams and 8,000 student-athletes would compete in the annual event held at the Alexandria Shooting Park.
6 Saints seniors earn BSC All-Conference honors
Six members of the St. Peter baseball team, all of them seniors, earned All-Conference recognition from the Big South Conference for their performances this season. Sam Moelter, Tate Olson, Kaeden Guida, Drew Simonette and Nakiye Mercado earned All-Conference awards while Max Brown was named all-conference honorable mention. Le Sueur-Henderson Senior Legion earns walkoff win over Ely
Friday evening, the Le Sueur-Henderson Senior Legion baseball team hosted Ely and after falling behind 4-2 after four innings, they needed a rally to come up with a victory. By scoring a run in both the fifth and sixth inning, LS-H tied the game 4-4 and in the bottom of the seventh, Brody Berndt came through in the clutch with an RBI single that earned his squad the walk off victory.
