Brewers CRVL winning streak snapped by Waconia
GAYLORD – The Glencoe Brewers fell to the Gaylord Islanders in a non-league tune up game on Wednesday, June 26. The Brewers took a brief early lead in the top of the second inning. With runners on first and third Oray Tangen (wait that’s me!) hit an RBI fielders choice to center field scoring Dylen Terlinden, and giving the Brewers a 1-0 lead.
Sixty from Sibley East participate in Minnesota Trap Shoot Championship
Sibley East was once again well represented at the recent Minnesota Trap Shooting Championship held at Alexandria. Sixty shooters participated from Sibley East, with nine of those topping the 90 out of 100 mark for the competition. It was anticipated that more than 350 high school teams and 8,000 student-athletes would compete in the annual event held at the Alexandria Shooting Park.
Sibley East Legion defeats Norwood 9-3
The Sibley East American Legion baseball team defeated visiting Norwood 9-3 at Green Isle on Saturday, June 29. Riley Drexler and Gavyn Hayden led Sibley East at the plate with one single each and one double apiece. Evan Pautsch and Leyton Dose contributed two singles apiece. Nate Colling, Nathan Schauer, Riley Bussler and Aaron Brinkman added one single each.
