Mobile operation units to be deployed in Rome
ROME, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) — The City of Rome has announced that Oneida County will be deploying mobile operations units to help those recovering from Tuesday’s tornado. County Executive Anthony Picente and Rome Mayor Jeffrey Lanigan announced on Friday, July 19 that they will be deploying two units to parts of Rome. The two officials say that the units will be deployed to help residents get access to essential health and human services.

SUNY Upstate Gives Historic Silverman Hall a Multimillion-Dollar Facelift
Anchor: One of Syracuse’s oldest buildings has undergone a multimillion-dollar facelift. N-C-C’s Caleb Spinner is at SUNY Upstate with the story. Caleb S. Spinner, reporter: SUNY Upstate’s College of Health Professions has made its home in Silverman Hall since the early 19-80s. Originally opening as ‘City Hospital’ in 19-26, the building had begun to deteriorate in recent years. Dr. Katherine Beissner, the college’s dean, says saying goodbye to Silverman was not an option.
‘Nature in the City’ getting students to explore
(WSYR-TV) — Last month, students at Dr. Weeks Elementary School in Syracuse got a head start on some summer fun and learning with the Baltimore Woods Nature Center. The program was designed with National Grid to give students special kits to get them to explore nature.
