GIBSON CITY, Ill. (WCIA) — Gibson City is set to become home to an annual food truck festival this summer.

Festival organizer Kelsey Wingler came on WCIA 3 News at Noon to talk about what people can expect — food trucks, kids’ activities and music — and how the event came together.

The First Annual Gibson City Food Truck will take place June 22 at North City Park in Gibson City. Aside from buying food and going shopping, it will cost nothing to attend.

10-15 food trucks from local businesses and throughout Illinois have been booked this year and organizers hope to expand for future years. Wingler said there will be sweets, barbecue, Mexican and American food trucks.
