Pa. State Police: Motorcyclist, 65, critically injured in Warren crash in Bradford County
A 65-year-old motorcyclist was critically injured June 28 in a crash on Leraysville Road in the Town of Warren. Towanda-based Pennsylvania State Police said Wednesday that Robert S. Bromley, 65, of Laceyville, Pa. was driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling northbound shortly before 4 p.m. when the bike crossed into the wrong lane and struck a southbound Jeep.
First responders save woman, dog who fell over embankment
Local first responders rescued a woman and her dog who had fallen over an embankment near a scenic overlook on Sheshequin Road south of Athens on Tuesday. According to the Bradford County Department of Public Safety, the 911 call came in at around 11:30 a.m.. When first responders arrived, they determined that the embankment was steep and additional resources were requested.

Two Elmira residents charged in fentanyl-related death of their two-year-old child
Two parents have been charged with manslaughter in connection with the 2023 death of their two-year-old child. On July 2nd of last year, the Elmira Police Department, Elmira Fire Department and Erway Ambulance responded to an address on the 400 block of Gaines Street for a report of an unresponsive two-year-old child. Lifesaving measures were performed on the child who was then life-flighted to Rochester.

Impact fees paid by gas drillers in Pa. in 2023 drop by more than $100 million
Pennsylvania collected about $180 million in impact fees from natural gas companies in 2023 – one of the lowest amounts paid since the fee started.
