Crews called to overnight factory fire in Cedar Rapids
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — No one was hurt when fire broke out at an industrial facility in northeast Cedar Rapids early Saturday morning. Fire crews were called to the 900 block of Shaver Road NE around 1:00am. When they arrived they found the building was being evacuated while others were working to suppress the flames with extinguishers.

End of July Start of August Events at Stuart Public Library
The Stuart Public Library is finishing up their events in July and getting ready to start the ones in August. Monday will be the monthly meeting of the cookbook club at noon, with a picnic theme. Anyone can attend or join the cookbook club, and bringing your favorite picnic food is encouraged. Also on Monday, the library will have their second to last summer reading program event with a colored chalk fun run at the Stuart Sports Complex. Coffee and Cribbage meets Tuesday and Friday at 10am, with gentle yoga Wednesday at 10am, and the Drop Everything and Read program Friday at 3pm.
